Dear Community Schools Students and Families,
Welcome back to the 2023-2024 school year! School begins on Wednesday, August 16th. School hours have changed; the Junior High day begins at 8:00 am and students are released at 12:30 pm. High School students begin at 10:50 am and are released at 3:30 pm (see attached).
Community School will have its own transportation and routes. You will be contacted regarding the pick-up and drop-off times and locations. Students using public transportation should call Amador Transit at (209) 267-9395 for schedules.
We have included the enrollment packet for this year. Please review, update, and sign your student’s contact sheet. This will be used in case of an emergency. It is important that we have accurate, updated information every year. Along with this important information, we will need for you to fill out the other required forms (some are double-sided) to return by the first day of school.
ACUSD now uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text, and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent using their preferred email address and phone number. We highly recommend parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified. We also recommend using the Aeries Parent/Student portal which allows you to monitor your student’s attendance and grades. We are happy to continue to offer a FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH TO ALL STUDENTS.
Back-to-School Night will be Wednesday, August 23rd from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. We encourage parents and families to attend. This is a great opportunity to learn how Community School is supporting your student.
